M$Advertisers pay google each time one of the ads is clicked on. Ranging from as little as $0.05 all the way up to $20 or more dollars for some key words.
One of the knocks on google is most of their other ventures do not make money. For example the Android cell phone operating system is a money losing venture on it's own. The way for google to make their money back is to serve ads to mobile web users.

Hi @fgual, and welcome to Mahalo.
Just a little bit advise: If you are answering a M$1 question, a little bit more info than a one line answer might be appropriate. Can you please explain the Google revenue model in a little bit more detail?
Is it ONLY Adsense ads? (I don't think so)
How much does Google earn with those Adsense ads?
How do they work?
Please elaborate a bit/ Thanks!
