What is everyone's favorite novel? Mine is 'Kino no Tabi' by Keiichi Sigsawa. It's a true masterpiece in my opinion. I love it so much.

Tip for best answer: M$0.25

I love so many novels that it's almost impossible for me to pick just one. I've read so many great things over the years...but...I'll try to keep the list short.

The "Harry Potter" series was good at first, but kept getting better and better with every book. Rowling has a very lovely writing style that's deceptively simple. She's capable of showing readers *so* many things, in just one or two sentences.

J.D. Salinger's "The Catcher in the Rye" was a great book when I was in my early and mid teens. Holden (the main character) had an outlook on life that was very similar to mine at the time, so it was easy to make a connection to him. Now, I might not love that book as much as I did back then, but I still appreciate all the great memories.

Stephen King's "The Stand" was actually a scary novel - and I don't say that about too many books. Heh...wait until swine flu comes back around later this year (if it does, that is), and read that one. Captain Trips...scary stuff.

Let's see...I also really enjoyed "Geek Love" by Katherine Dunn; "The Joy Luck Club" by Amy Tan; and "Dolores Claiborne" by Stephen King.
