what is earth size?

Tip for best answer: M$0.10
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

In the 3rd Century B.C. Eratosthenes measured the Earth's circumference at 39,690 km.

With modern equipment and science we can get more accurate readings, but as you can see, Eratosthenes was extremely accurate for his time:

Circumference: 40,075.02 km
Surface Area: 510,072,000 km²
Volume: 1.0832073 × 1012 km3
Mean Radius: 6,371.0 km

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.
