What is corn considered once it has been made into popcorn?

Some friends and I got into a rather in-depth conversation of the wide classifications of corn and this question popped up along with whether or not you could eat corn husk. Once a corn kernel has been popped (making it pop corn) is it no longer a grain? If popcorn is generally considered an unhealthy food and corn a healthy food, but they are both still grains, why is this?

It's not the popcorn that is unhealthy, it is all the salt, butter, carmel and other things we cover it with.

You know, the stuff that makes it taste good.
