The Nation of Islam was founded in 1930 in Detroit, Michigan by Wallace D. Fard Muhammad and was originally started as a religious movement to improve the spiritual, social and economic condition of the African American in the United States of America. Since its incorporation, the Nation of Islam has split into several groups so there are several leaders, one of whom is Louis Farrakhan. The Nation of Islam differs from traditional Islam on several fronts. One of the main differences, when compared to traditional Islam is the belief that Allah was reincarnated as Wallace Fard Muhammad.
