I am not a doctor but a common definition of Congestive heart failure or CHF explains it as a condition in which the heart is not able to properly function as a pump or is doing the job inadequately, failing to deliver oxygen rich blood to the body. This condition is caused or can be provoked by the weakening of the heart muscle, the stiffening of the heart muscles or by serious diseases or health complications which cause an increase in the oxygen demand by the body, a demand which is beyond the capability of the heart to deliver enough oxygen-rich blood for the body to function normally.
