What is Bing all about?

Bing is all about their slogan is "Bing & Decide." Their unique feature is that it is based on Powerset's semantic technology, which is based on the recognition of language. This means that the search engine will make search suggestions to the user, based on the words as a language. This is also supposed to make it distinct from precious search engines. Bing is owned by Microsoft and was previously known as "MSN Search," "Windows' Live Search" and "Live Search." On May 28, 2009, during the "All things Digital" conference, Steve Ballmer, Microsoft's CEO, released Bing. It was not made available online until June 3, 2009. You can also search by images and video. Yahoo! Search as of July 29, 2009 will now be the powered by Bing.

Hi @24fps, Bing is multilingual web search engine that was created in 2009 by Microsoft. On the 28th of May, 2009, the CEO of Microsoft Steve Ballmer, made awareness of the new search engine, but on the 3rd of June, 2009, it was officially launched to the public.

Microsoft had a search engine that was known as Windows Live Search or MSN Search. Bing was launched as a replacement for it and new and advanced features were added. One of the new features includes; the Explorer pane, which suggest searches when you type into the Bing search bar.

Bing has a unique section for different categories, which includes; music, images, news, health, maps, travel, video and shopping. They have been categorized to make search easier for the users.
