What is best in life?

Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Being content with what you have. If you are not that you will never be happy. There will always be someone who has more money, a better-looking spouse, a fancier car, stc. Learn to love what you have and you will find what is best in life. Satisfation and contentment.

Start with your family.

Ditto! Surprising how much it meant when I got there. I am content. I have tried really hard to imagine something I want, and can't. It is a totally warm feeling.

Hate to be the dissenter here (but that's my style)... I can understand the thought about being content, but just being content, for me, doesn't say the "best" in life. ALWAYS being content is foolish (yes, that's a judgment). Then you'll just sit around and be content with what you have and never try to better yourself. Where's the balance?

Isn't that from Conan The Barbarian? To crush enemies, see them driven before you, and hear the lamentations of their women.

Learning (growing).

Learning how to set goals and achieve them. Learning how to be proud and take satisfaction in a job well done. Learning how to face adversity with some decorum.

For me, life is really about being challenged (or challenging myself) and getting that energy moving.
