What is/are the must have gadget/s a person should always have?
Money isn't easy nowadays that's why picking the important and best ones is of course needed.

These are the gadgets that I cannot live without.
1. Notebook: Mac Book Pro - I upgrade my notebook every two years.
2. Desktop: Self-built with two monitors, it helps with the bigger jobs. Building your own desktop is easy and lets you get a lot more bang for your buck.
3. Cellphone: My phone is a piece of junk Sony Ericsson that is due for an upgrade, but it works anywhere in the world and when I got it there were not very many that could do that. I would opt for an iPhone but can't get one on my carrier and I am all about saving money on cellphones.
4. WiFi Router: I use an Apple Airport Express, but as I am starting to test its limits - it can only handle 10 devices, I may have to switch up for an Airport Extreme. Wireless networking is a lot easier on Apple.
5. Television: I rock a late model 46" Panasonic Plasma - great picture and really fast.
6. BluRay Recorder: This is not really essential, but if you have a great TV, BluRay looks very impressive and it is nice to be able to record your favorite programs. I live in Japan so I have my pick of the good ones, but when it comes to AV stuff, I am a big fan of sticking to the same brand - cuts out the need for a universal remote.

I am guessing that in a few years people will be adding an e-book reader to that list.
I have been a gadget hound for my entire life

M$Now, people used to like a branded Mobile phone with internet, mp3 player & camera (three separate gadgets in one), a branded laptop is also essential for all executives
So, my choice is as below:
1. Mobile (Nokia)
2. Laptop (Mac)
3. Pen (Cross gold)
4. Spectacle (Lafonton or Benetton)
5. Wrist Watch (Rolex)
6. Lighter (Dupond), etc, etc, etc,

M$I'd pass on the pen and cant count my spectacles as gadgets as they an like a part of my body but I wanted to comment on the watch. I think this is one that many people don't think about but it is definitely one that should be on the list for those times when electronic things are not working
A telephone (not even a wall phone anymore, but a mobile phone like verizon)
An MP3 player (I admit it, life would be much harder without my Ipod)
A computer (lots of people make their living on the computer these days, so it's an essential tool to have.)
As for brands, what brand you choose really doesn't matter, but keep in mind that you normally do get what you pay for (unless it's a huge sum of money just for a brand name, which I would avoid.)

M$1. A simple but reliable mobile phone. A person does not need an advanced model to use. He or she just need the phone to call someone or receive calls. Nokia and Motorola are the models I used before that are very dependable.
2. A digital camera. If you are fond of traveling, you definitely need one. 10 megapixels is enough, and if you are not serious in making a career out of photography, I think you do not need a digital SLR. Good brands are Nikon and Canon.
3. PC or laptop. Nearly everyone needs one for work or to communicate through email. I do not have a laptop but I have a PC at home. I do not need a laptop as of now because our office provides a pc to use. Good brands are Mac, HP, Lenovo, Toshiba, Dell
4. mp3 player. This gadget is not a must have. You may need it to relax and listen to music at home or while doing exercise. It helps relieve stress. You can also store pictures in some models. You can also play games with it. Popular brands are iPod and Creative.
That's it. You may add more but if you are in a tight budget, these are the only ones which are essential. Good luck and enjoy your gadgets!
