M$However, I can tell you the types of grape that make for great tasting red wine, there is also a couple of websites below which may help.
For me, a good red has to have rich fruit flavors, blackberry, blackcurrant and with oaky overtones.
My favorites include, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Shiraz and Merlot.
I have found that if I choose a wine made from these grapes, it will be a usually be a good one. Just look for the price range that suits you and check out the label for production details. Enjoy!
