What is a good virtual world that does not include people being immodest?

I want to play on a new virtual world because I am getting tired of the other 40 i know. One thing that has been bothering me lately is virtual worlds with immodest clothes. Is there a good virtual world that has no immodesty?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I was playing Travian for ages! Does that come into your definition of games you like to play?

A great browser game, free, lots of people play, very friendly. You build villages, sell crops, and protect yourself and others by forming alliances. I read somewhere its one of the most popular browser games out there. I found myself spending HOURS playing so its just as addictive as say...Mahalo!

A few pics and links if you are interested. I loved it, but spent too much time playing and thought I should have a break for a while! so much fun!!!!

Main site - each country also has its own servers so the play happens all the time! And if you are interested in graphics you can make your own skins for the game...see all the links here:

You get to build your village piece by piece and you can choose what type of village you want to make

Unless (until) you make your own, online games are designed to appeal to the most people possible since they are trying to make money - not uphold any particular cultures values.

If enough people complain they will perhaps consent to create a server (or instance) where the rules are more specific. If you have the option of creating members-only gatherings, your modest requirements are the choice of the leader of the group.

Disney does a pretty good job of running a virtual world that is modest but it is also geared toward children. Even in those virtual worlds there are those who try to break the rules so it may take a while before some violators are caught/reported and suspended.

You seem to be more familiar with the plethora of Virtuals out there so I won't try to find one that would be more likely than the others to cater to your request. I just think it's a lost cause.

The last option I can suggest is to find a VWorld that allows mod-ing. Then create mods that you install locally to your machine that convert specific graphics to graphics of your choice.

Most people that mod games like that actually create "nude" mods so when they put on specific sets of clothes they actually look nude to anyone who is running the same mod. To everyone else they look as the game designed. So if you find the right game and find someone that makes mods, you can make a modest-mod so your machine only shows the clothing choices you want. Just remember, it's a local filter (like a chat filter) and only affects those who use the mod. No one else's game is affected.

It's worth noting that some games make you sign an agreement that prevents modding so if ethical use of software is also a concern you'll need to find a game that allows modding in the terms of use.

Final option is to give up the virtuals and go back to text rooms or engage in video conferences with real people (if you're stuck at home and can't go out to meet people in person). Good luck!

We would like to introduce to you Lemur Bay, the safest children’s website on the Internet today which is also fun and educational and for the first time, features talking avatars – www.lemurbay.com.

Would you allow your child to walk up to a stranger in a shopping mall and ask them to be your friend? Of course not! Neither do we. Safety issues for children are becoming a daily news entity. With all the social networking sites popping up on a regular basis, stories of pedophiles luring children are always in the news.
Lemur Bay is designed with safety for children as our major concern. There are several children’s sites that allow open chat where your child can speak with strangers. Lemur Bay has pre-selected chat for non-members which is totally safe since personal information cannot be given out. Children can create their own worlds and invite friends and relatives that they know to join them in a fun and safe environment.

Every month Lemur Bay adds new games and content to the site. Visit Lemur Bay at www.lemurbay.com or www.universalwebcaster.com and experience the first talking avatar children's chat site on the Internet today.
