What is a good HDMI switch?
Does auto switching work? If not, then I would need a switch that could be changed from a remote. I have a Harmony One remote.

M$Auto switches have issues. I had one where the auto switch would flicker from one input to another. They are also usually more expensive than manual switches. Best is to get a manual switch and a good remote that can handle multiple components with a touch of a button like the Logitech Harmony 880. I have my 880 turn on the HDTV, switch it to the right video, turn on the 360, turn on the switchbox and switch it to the right input, turn on the receiver and switch it to the right input all with one button.
If you are looking for a cheap alternative, try to find one that has HDMI 1.3a capabilities in order to futureproof yourself. I have listed a pretty good one below.

M$They do both auto-sensing and are remote controllable. I use mine with a Harmony One remote as well, and the codes for the switch are already in the Harmony database. Adding the switch to your Activities on the remote is a snap.
Plus, the price is amazing as well.

Specifically, I have this one:

It works seamlessly and transparently with my Harmonly 8800 remote and home theater setup. My wife or I presses "watch TV" and all of the inputs and levels are changed to accommodate. It's perfect.
I obtained this information from my own personal experience. You can also review monoprice experiences with a simple google search.
