What is a Diabloceratops?

Tip for best answer: M$0.10
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The Diabloceratops] eatoni was a recently discovered dinosaur that would have lived close to the end of the. A skull of one of these dinosaurs was discovered in 2002 by paleontologist Don DeBieux in southern Utah. The skull depicted two horns protruding from the outer frill and two smaller horns on the nose of the dinosaur. This dinosaur is categorized as a ceratopsian, which would have been some of the last known dinosaurs to roam the earth. Although this dinosaur looks similar to a Triceratops an would have lived close to the same region in about the same time period, it is speculated that it may have actually been more closely related to the Stycasaurus than anything else. The perfectly preserved Diabloceratos skull is currently making the rounds to a number of research centers and museums throughout the US.

My six year old, dinosaur infatuated, too smart for his own age, son actually knew more about this than I did and rushed in here with his dinosaur book to help me answer this question. He had to explain to me exactly when the cretaceous period was because I honestly had no clue. Here is a great site that explains dinosaur facts for kids, though, and the Diabloceratops is included here as well: http://www.dinosaurjungle.com/dinosaur_species_diabloceratops.php
