What ingredients would make the most sense to use when making an aerosol zombie repellent?

What attracts zombies to us in the first place? BRAINS! The smell of the living! Mask that smell with an odor that convinces the zombies there's nothing to eat here and POOF! They leave!
Just remember to wander aimlessly and moan a lot until they actually leave.

Although it should be noted that an aerosol is a substance enclosed under pressure and able to be released as a fine spray. So by definition, a shotgun with bird shot qualifies as an aerosol, yes?

Or if that fails there's always peanut butter. But sadly, no aerosol. :(

M$That being said, if one was to create a zombie repellant, I would think some key ingredients would be human blood (yes, gross, I know). If one was to spray blood on a zombie, the OTHER zombies would think that he was a meal and would go for him, possibly buying you precious moments to deal out second death or make your escape.
Perhaps a second repellant would be as simple as black spray paint mixed with something stinky like catfish bait: the bait would mask your own smell while the spray paint would effectively blind the zombie, once again enabling you to deal out second death, or make your escape.
Good times....

An aerosol works on humans because we are alive. We can get a toxin into our system by breathing or contact, or we could go into shock from bleeding out or enough systemic damage through burning (fire, acid, or base). Set a zombie on fire and all you have accomplished is made your problem both a zombie and an uncontrollable fire.
So aerosols... not so effective. The closest thing that would work would be an aerosol only by extreme technicality, it's called a "fuel-air bomb". Basically its an explosive which works on the same principal as when you throw a handful of flour into the air over a fire and it makes a fireball. First a smaller explosive goes off which spreads a fuel mixture into the air, then a secondary explosion detonates that fuel for an explosion which rivals the power of low-yield nuclear weapons.

M$Since I've figured the best ways to kill Zombies are beheading, multiple shots (preferably in the head) and fire(not sure if everyone agrees)...maybe the best thing to do is simply bring an industrial can of hair spray...Maybe borrow one from Dolly Parton and a box of matches....possibly a lighter...and spray the can into a lit lighter or match and WHOOSH! Fry the friends as they are running at you....
The reason I say this is that hairspray is highly flamable so my thought process is if it meets flame then it will cause some damage and a big flame ball..well not too big...but big enough to catch someone on fire...would be created. I may be wrong...but hey atleast I tried!
Now my question for you Budda is....did you just watch Zombieland or something? Because I did and I was totally thinking of what I would do to survive...I would have to be creative and quick...
Good question! It's a fun one.
My opinion....
And Dolly's hairpsray :)

M$i agree that hair spray would set them on fire, but it would burn too slowly. Instead of a disease infested zombie chasing you, you have a flaming, disease infested zombie chasing you. I'd rather have a machete or a sawed off shot gun.
Genius.
Rich and compelling. Looks like those hours of L4D2 have paid off!!
After playing Left 4 dead 2 for countless hours...I have become attached to the idea of an Axe for my beheadings....:)
I guess that didn't really answer your specific question...I just got excited to answer on how I would kill a zombie...In a way though I suppose it could because hairspray is in a can...hmmm...I will try and think a little more on this and add a comment if I come up with a proper answer...

Actually, it is possible to make Peanut Butter an aerosol, but you'd almost have to heat it really hot really quick to vaporize it first. lol
