The Institution number and the Branch number combined are known as the Routing number.
AND... remember to give them the name of the account exactly as is recorded at the bank... which you'd better double-check, because it's quite often different from what's coloquially known as a DBO (Doing Business in the name Of). There's a good chance you and your friendly neighborhood bank teller have been using a DBO for years without either knowing that technically the account had a more formal name.
