What information have police found about the satanic cult David Berkowitz (son of sam) belonged too?
Many officials believe the murders he was charged with had more than one individual committing these crimes.
"Berkowitz claimed that brothers John and Michael Carr, the real life sons of Yonkers resident Sam Carr, were members of the same Satanic cult. John was the 'John Wheaties, rapist and suffocator of young girls'
Sam Carr is the owner of the dog that commanded him to kill and is referenced as "Father Sam" in Berkowitz's letters. Both Carr brothers were found dead shortly after the "son of sam" arrest.
"Berkowitz claims that both Carr brothers were probably murdered by Satanic cult members because their heavy drug use marked them as untrustworthy and likely to become informants."
"In 1979, there was an attempt on Berkowitz's life. He refused to identify the person(s) who had attacked him with a knife, but suggested that the act was directed by the cult he once belonged to. He bears a permanent scar from the wound that took 52 stitches to close."
Also the son of sam case was re opened many years ago due to overwhelming evidence pointing to multiple suspects. The cult is thought by some to be a violent offshoot of the Process Church, which believe and worship both Satan and God equally. However, this religion does not promote violence.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

All the info I have read to date on this case. It says that it is unknown of a "cult" involved in the Son of Sam attacks. They have no proof either way.

was there any info on Carr brothers and how they were killed? or the person who attempted to kill Berkowitz in prison?
It is a matter of public record that both Carr brothers died violently within two years of Berkowitz’s arrest. John Carr, age 31, perished as the result of a rifle shot to the face in Minot, North Dakota, in February 1978. The number 666 was allegedly found carved into the drying blood on one of the dead man’s hands. The probable murder was initially ruled a suicide. And despite a clinical aversion to alcohol, 27-year-old Michael Carr died in an apparent drink-driving accident on the West Side Highway in New York City on 4 October 1979.
