about How to Become a Disney Channel Star
what if you don't know how to dance but sing and act because I don't know how to dance.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

You're in luck. In my opinion, it's easier to learn to dance a little than to sing and act well. If you can afford it, get 1-3 hours of private instruction. You'll want to definitely learn some basics including:
- a jazz square
- a grapevine
- chasse (left, right and side)
- good posture in a stand and a lunge (left and right)
- basic tap (shuffle ball change, etc.)
- arm and hand positions
- basic turns (This will be the hardest. A single pirouette may be fine for most song and dance numbers, but if they are heavy on dance the most you will need is a double. If you're pressed for time, just get a good single down. You'll also want to learn shinae turns.
I wouldn't take up your time learning any leaps. They often take a while to learn and are often not in song and dance numbers.
Check out YouTube for the basic styles: jazz, modern, tap and ballet. If you get the very basics down, you should be ok. Best of luck to you.
