What hotel should I look to stay in at the Val Thorens Ski Resort in France?

I would like to ski in Val Thorens, france for a couple of weeks with 4-6 people - i don't want to stay in a really poor hotel for so long - can anyone suggest something with a few creature comforts, that isn't going to break the bank?
Tip for best answer: M$1.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I recommend the Latitudes Hotel Les Bruyeres. It was recently refurbished, and it's very cozy. It's also one of the cheaper hotels in the area, and it's the closest hotel to Val Thorens. You can make a reservation at

I checked out ValThorens.com which appears to be the official accommodation of the mountain. They have "Private Lodges" which appear very nice in the photo they provided.
