What happens when you block someone's number on your mobile phone?
If I block someone's number from my (VERY cheap, T-Mobile) phone and they then send me a text, will their phone still allow it to seem to them as though the text has sent or will they get some sort of error message?
I'm just curious, as I would prefer not to get any more texts from a specific person but I don't want them to think I am simply receiving the texts but not replying.
I hope that makes sense :)

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I use TMobile and there is no real way to block a number that I've found, I've just had to send the number to voice mail. When I do this, the phone with start to ring, then stop (but it's not "stopping" from ringing) it's just going straight to voice mail.
In my case for texting, the text comes over as well, as it doesn't let me block them from texting, so I don't reply and delete the text.
If you have a smart phone (Android), there are apps in the market that will auto-reply for you (SMS Replier is one), and there are other apps that will allow you to block the text as well.

As I said, I have a very cheap phone but I know I have seen somewhere a way to block numbers when I've just been searching around on the phone.
How do you send certain numbers to voice mail when they call?
