What games are out now for the iPhone that connect users to play together in real time without the need to be on the same wifi network?

The iPhone does not currently support peer-to-peer networking connections for inter-iphone connectivity - this is a feature that is coming in the 3.0 software release that Apple recently announced.
However, there are several games such as iMob and Texas Holdem' Poker that connect players from around the world to play. I'm not aware of any where you can specify who you play against though
