What game should I play? Need suggestions for a new PC game to play.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

M$Judging from your list of games, you should also look at the Empire: Total War and the Stalker series.

M$I would recommend one game to tide you over until the amazing Diablo 3 is released in the future.
Left 4 Dead
Already it is a Valve game, so if you liked the mechanics of Team Fortress 2 then you will likely really enjoy this.
Four survivors all band together to get through various levels chock full of Infected (aka zombies). The focus is heavily on teamwork, so you need to really work well with the other players on your side to ensure that you can make it through the level.
If one person is knocked down, then it is not a remotely uncommon scenario to have two people stand around them as cover, while the third gets them back up again. As anyone who has seen a good horror movie knows, "Splitting up to cover more ground" is a recipe for disaster. Left 4 Dead knows this, and will make any Rambo trying to do their own thing in a level have a pretty short game.
The zombies are all controlled by something called an AI Director - the Director changes things up while you play, depending on how you are going. If you are lagging behind, then waves of zombies might be spawned as punishment. If you're doing it rough, you might luck out and get a few health packs.
The VS mode is where this really shines however, as you square off against another team of 4 who take on the role of the "Special Infected".
These are made up of different playable infected classes that can each do something different to help impede the progress of the 4 humans. The Infected classes are:
1. Boomer
Lumbering fat character that explodes when shot, and can vomit on players. Whichever way players get soaked (and temporarily blinded) in Boomer digestive juices, expect hordes of infected to come in for the attack.
2. Smoker
Shoots a 20ft tongue out to snare survivors and drag them back from the action. Explodes in a cloud of smoke when killed. More of a support class, the Smoker is ideal for picking off stragglers or incapacitating players when they are already busy with other infected.
3. Hunter
The agile, parkour zombie. Able to leap massive distances and dish out not only loads of melee damage, but also drop-damage from successful long distance pounces, the Hunter is the bread and butter damage class for the special infected. You usually have two of these at once (sometimes 3), and if all Hunters work together, the effect on survivors can be devastating.
4. Tank
Think "Hulk". A giant roided up monster that can rip chunks of concrete from the floor and hurl them at survivors, the Tank is a force to be reckoned with. It's powerful punch attach can send multiple survivors hurtling off buildings, and even knock stationary cars and objects into those unlucky enough to get in the way. A "Special-Special", the Tank is randomly attributed to an infected player rarely more than once in a level (apart from the final stage for each campaign).
So it is:
Fun
Challenging
Online
Strategic
Different every time you play
I guarantee you will love this one. It's a safe bet when you are playing a Valve game that won Game of the Year.
Plus it comes cheap downloaded from Steam.
Best of luck, see you at the barricaded mall!

Post apocalyptic RPG = can't go wrong with this one!
I played Fallout 3 for about 20 hours and I do not love it. Maybe I should give it another try with a different character?
Well if you already gave it a try and didn't like it than you didn't like it. Have you played any of the Orange Box? Five great games in one set including Half-Life 2, Portal and Team Fortress 2 (which is an MMO).
