M$Load screens that lasted longer than the levels.
Controls that felt like you were driving a semi down a curvy mountain road using TELEPATHY.
You get the gist.

M$Oooh! I'm so about to Refute this answer. Bad, pirate... bad!
I loved both... and Perfect Dark had so many more options. Fun stuff...
I understand what your talking about though. That's how I am for some popular games too. Sometimes if there's one feature that really bothers me, it might ruin the whole potential wanting to play the game at all. For example: Let's just say I wasn't a Madden guy. Can't remember what the main couple of reasons were for not liking it, but I loved NFL fever, and Sega's NFL 2K3, and really just, loathed the fact that the NFL "market" was bought-out by Madden. I guess, since 05 and some of the newer ones' are definitely getting better(in my eyes).
Perfect Dark was the best reviewed FPS of all time (according to metacritic) I could understand maybe thinking it was overrated, but loathing it?
It's my opinion, I know everyone else loves it, and it got really good reviews, but I never liked the game.
Yep! Just as painful as real life...

M$Golden Sun 1 and 2.
Yeah, you heard me. Golden Sun 1 was one of the first true RPGs on the GBA, and I think people sugar-coat it all because of that. But it was such a bad game. Both were. The intro to game 1 is almost insultingly long, with bobbleheads and emoticons and terrible pacing. The combat is drainy and ugly and bland. And the storyline is just about as cookie cutter, story book as you could ever hope to see.
I forced myself to slog through both games to the end. Never once was I entertained. I did it purely so no one could go "Well you never finished it, so..."
I finished it. I hated it. There are far better RPGs out there, especially on the GBA. Don't settle for Golden Sun.

M$The Sega CD was ultra expensive, and had horrible, disgusting graphics. Worse, a lot of the games cashed in on "full motion video" cutscenes, where real life actors acted out the in-between bits.
There's 2 gems I'd like to point out:
1. Sewer Shark
It's a boring repetitive shooter that takes place in a sewer. What's not to like, you ask? The FMV sequences were very cheesy, and it just generally sucks.

2. Bram Stoker's Dracula
Hands down, one of the most frustratingly difficult side-scrollers ever made. I actually beat it when I was a kid, somehow. A few things about it that are impossible:
-When you have to jump over a cliff, you will fall, every time. It's one of those games where a big portion of the front of a platform is the "background," so you fall straight through it.
-The enemies are relentlessly quick, attack in great numbers, and you are nowhere near armed with enough control to defend against all of them.
