What fun things are going on in Orange County/Laguna tomorrow/this weekend? What's fun to do with a group in the OC?

Tip for best answer: M$5.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Are you going to be down here this weekend? Are you driving the Tesla?
I know of only one in this area, in Newport Beach. I don't have the Tesla wall outlet but you are welcome to stop in for a charge.

Good places to have drinks/lounge with incredible views:

The rooftop lounge at the Casa del Camino:

Then a little south of that is the lobby lounge at the Montage Resort:

I went to the Turkish festival (I'm Mexican) and was very impressed with how they created reproduction facades of all the cultural/tourist attractions in Turkey. They reproduced everything from the mosks to the amphitheaters to the beaches. Something that has to be seen to be believed. They definitely put a lot of money and effort this festival. Great food too. The only thing that was a downside is that attendance was a little low, but that may have been because I went there in the evening.

There is a lot of good food OC and some wonderful hole in the walls. I can make some great suggestions in that regard. How big is your group and what kind of dining would you be looking for?

I don't have specific stuff for Laguna, but with a lot of people having spring break this week, some of the "touristy" areas will be crowded. If you want an outdoorsie experience the Peter & Mary Muth Interpretive Center in Upper Newport Bay is a cool little place with a lot of trails around it. Here is the link http://www.ocparks.com/unbic/default.asp .  Also the Orange County Parks people "tweet" here - http://twitter.com/OCParks .  Another fun thing might be the hot air balloon at the site of the future "Great Park" - here is the info for that: http://www.ocgp.org/gpb/ .  You could end up at the Irvine Spectrum ( http://www.shopirvinespectrumcenter.com/ ) for lunch or dinner (P.F. Changs, Yard House, etc)  If you really want to do Laguna Beach there is always a lot of good people watching at the beach with nice boardwalks and pathways and a lot of good places to eat.
