What fruits are used in ambrosia?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Ambrosia is consider a fruit salad that will contain some sort of cream and sweetener in it. Usually Ambrosia will contain oranges, grapes, pineapple and coconut. Some people will add other fruits like apples, while some people will omit the ingredients they don't like. Some recipes will call for sour cream, whipped cream and/or coconut milk. Then sugar is usually added to heighten the sweetness. I personally like it best with fresh fruit, but many people use canned fruit for the convenience and to keep cost down.
Ambrosia can be served as an appetizer or a dessert. You can find ambrosia recipes at many different websites that offer recipes, how to websites and even on YouTube. I like watching the videos at Youtube because you can actually see a visual of it being made. However, I love getting recipes from allrecipes.com because people will actually interact with the pages like a forum. This usually gives information about what they liked or didn't like about the recipe.
