What foods would be cut out of a diet if you went gluten free?

I keep hearing about a gluten free diet and how it is supposed to help with all the allergies and general bad feelings in a person. After hearing that I began to wonder what would make up this diet and what foods would I be losing and would I be gaining any certain foods. Has anyone else been hearing about this diet that is suppose to re-energize a person?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

When you talk about gluten-free diet, this means that there certain types of foods that has no gluten in it. Gluten is form of protein generally present in wheat, barley and rye. The gluten-free diet is recommended as a remedy for persons who displays allergic reactions, especially when consuming foods that has wheat.

Other research have also shown to contribute to the deteriorating conditions of patients suffering from Multiple Sclerosis. Listed below are the gluten-free foods you can choose to include in your diet:

"Potatoes, Rice, Tapioca, Amaranth, Marmalade, Wine, Sugar, Fish, Eggs, Arrowroot, Millet, Montina, Lupine, Quinoa, Sorghum,Sweet Potatoes, Taro,Teff, Yams, Beans, Soybeans, Gram Flour, Maize"

As a final note, I suggest you must consult first your physician before planning to embark on a gluten-free diet, in order to avoid some complications.
