What fashion designers would you pick to collaborate with Lincoln for a special edition car?
In the 1970s, Lincoln collaborated with four top fashion design houses--Bill Blass, Cartier, Givenchy and Pucci--for a series of special edition Mark IVs. The designers were responsible for selecting the color, trim and interior for the cars bearing their name. Cars were further personalized by the designer's signature that was applied as a decal on their opera windows.
In the 1970s, the designer edition cars sold pretty well.
If Lincoln revived this idea again, what fashion designers do you think would make interesting choices for collaborations on some cars? Also, what are the reasons behind the choices you'd make?
