What exactly are the ingredients for the batter around fish as in [[Fish & Chips]]?

I've tried a lot of times to make this batter for the fish in Fish & Chips, but it just never is the same as from the Take Away! Where do I go wrong? Has anybody got the exact recipe for the batter?
