what essentials oils should be used to do a foot massage?
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Example:
3% tea tree
.5% peppermint and/or spearmint (you want .5 total, not each)
96.5% carrier oil, such as olive, jojoba, almond, avocado etc
For a 4 ounce batch, you'll need:
.12 ounce tea tree oil
.02 mint or mint blend
3.86 oz carrier oil
Have fun!
Have made "lotions and potions" for over 10 years.

M$I tend to enjoy the mints... Spearmint or Peppermint. If you want to cool down, use Spearmint. If you want to heat up, use Peppermint. WARNING: Do NOT use pure mint extract on the skin or ingest it. It is VERY harmful at these concentrations. You MUST dilute it.
Of course, some of the flowers are relaxing... Lavender, Hibiscus.
There's some great books I recommend:
Aromatherapy by Lawless
Essential Oils by Lawless
Healing With Flower and Gemstone Essences by Stein
