For the ancient Egyptians, the temple was not just a place of worship. They regarded temples as the homes of their gods. Temples were also used for religious festivals. Here are some temples from my book collection.

Karnak- the largest ancient religious site in the world. It was dedicated to the king of gods, Amon ra.

Hatshepsut temple-dedicated to Queen Hatshepsut of Deir El bahri - designed by her architect Senenmut.
Philae temple-built for the goddess Isis. It's the main temple on the island with huge pylons and beautiful scenes painted on the walls.
The temple of Edfu- second largest temple- dedicated to the falcon god Horus.
The temple of Narmuthis - Built by Amenemhet III the temple is dedicated to the gods Sobek, Ernutet and Horus.
The temple of Ramses - II -Ramesses II built the fabulous mortuary temple.
The temple of Ramses-III-These chapels were a later addition dating to the 18th Dynasties, by Hatsepsut and Tutmose II.
Abu Gurab is a sun temple-constructed during the Fifth dynasty of Egypt.
The Great Temple of Abu Simbel. The temple was cut into rock in the 13th century B.C. by the famous pharaoh Ramses II in honour of himself and the triad Amon-Ra, Ptah and Ra-Harakhte.
