Wedding planning usually takes a year or more depending on the preparation needed. As for traditional and modern weddings, the burden of paying the matrimonial cost is a big issue. Traditionally, it is usually the family of the bride who shoulders much of the percentage for the wedding cost while the groom’s family offers some part. In the modern times, sharing is much preferred for both parties to lessen the burden of paying the cost without ruining the couple’s happiest moment. Perhaps some couples still prefer the traditional way regardless of the cost sharing. Traditional or modern, the average American wedding costs between $18,050 and $30,083.

M$I don’t think traditional vs. contemporary weddings makes a difference in the price of a wedding. It’s more based on geographic location, venue, number of guests, and type of reception. A wedding in Chicago is going to be much more expensive than a wedding in a small town in Idaho. A wedding reception at the Drake Hotel in Chicago is going to be much more expensive than a wedding reception in a backyard.
A maid of honor is there in every way possible for the bride throughout her wedding planning and on her big day. She is usually in charge of the bridal shower. She hold’s the bride’s flowers during the ceremony, fixes her train if it gets bunched up, etc.
