Hello @eug372!
These are the things the new U.S. health care bill will do to reduce cost of medication:
1. Health Insurers will are not allowed to deny children health insurance because of pre-existing conditions and a ban on the discrimination on adults will take effect in 2014.
2. Seniors will get a rebate to fills the "donut hole" in ppMedicare drug coveragethat severely limits prescription medication coverage expenditure of over $2,700. In half of this year, 50% of this hole will be filled.
3. A temporary high-risk pool will be set up to cover adults who have pre-existing conditions and health care exchanges will stop the program in 2014.
4. New plans should cover checkups and other preventative care without co-pays. All the plans will be affected starting 2018.
5. payment protections will be extended to small rural hospitals and other health care facilities that have few Medicare patients.
6. Non-profit Blue Cross organizations are required to maintain a medical loss ratio.
