The circulatory system contains the heart, arteries, vessels and capillaries that all control the flow of blood around the body, which is known as circulation. Deoxygenated blood enters the heart through the ventricles, then to the aorta, and out to the lungs through the pulmonary vein where it’s exchanged for fresh, oxygenated blood. The oxygenated blood is sent back to the heart by the way of the pulmonary artery and distributed out to the rest of the body.
The circulatory system is not the reason why you don’t get sick. That has more to do with the lymphatic system, which fights infections and colds.
You can improve the circulatory system by getting plenty of exercise, at least 30 minutes a day, plenty of rest, about seven or eight hours, and eating a healthy diet of fruits, vegetables, grains and dairy.
