Pope Benedict XVI has been criticized for his thoughts about Islam. He has very extreme beliefs about Islam. He believes that Muslims are terrorists. He thinks of all of them as terrorists. And he also says that by being terrorists they are not just harming their neighbors but more than that they are harming themselves. In his lecture in 2006, he passed some very brutal and cruel remarks against the Muslims and their Prophet that enraged all the Muslims present there or listening to it remotely. He later apologized for his incorrect selection of words. He thinks that Islam has spread just by force i.e. under sword, which is contrary to what Muslims believe is true. He is pretty much opposite in his concepts regarding Islam to his predecessor Pope John Paul II.
