What do you think of this Jockey Underwear commercial?

Tip for best answer: M$0.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I like the ad, but it's pretty hypocritical. Jockey is just as guilty of using cookie-cutter type models as anyone. Look at their own website:

Like the high tech look but its just underwear right? I don't think its going to make me go out and buy a pair. Whatever happen to a commercial stating the benefits of the product? Id really like to see that integrated into the commercials rather than an obscure commercial that offers nothing about the product

I think this ad provides an unfortunately incomplete statement as to the potential of one's individuality and was also ripped off, in feel and point, from Apple's famous "1984" spot from the superbowl of the same year.

As long as people still believe that clothing is a cogent statement of one's individuality and ability to differentiate themselves in a meaningful way, ads like this will still work.
