What do you think of our expanded travel category?

We've made the travel category here on Mahalo Answers a lot more comprehensive than it used to be.  But the world is a big place, and many things have inevitably been left out.  What do you think is essential that we missed?

Tip for best answer: M$2.00
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The list is comprehensive and clear.  It is easy to utilize, breaking down areas that anyone should be able to use.  You have a spot for Travel Agencies but not one for Travel Websites.  It might be good to have that in there as well, since many people utilize online web sites for deals and steals these days.

There actually is a category for travel websites, it is in travel technology. Perhaps that is not clear enough. Thanks for the feedback!

I agree with @pazaq that it's confusing to have all the types of travel broken out alongside areas of the world. Make the first choice "By Type" and below that the continents. It's confusing to have Western Europe and Eastern Europe separately when I initially looked for "Europe" ... I suggest having Europe with countries broken out underneath. Where's Antarctica?

Hmm, didn't think people went to Antarctica for tourism, but it looks like they do have tours there. Interesting!

As a test I went to the last place I visited: Park City (where Sundance takes place). Looks like you have Utah but only one city in Utah: Salt Lake City. If we're going to go down from Travel --> United States --> State --> City I think we should put the top 5-10 cities in each state. I could have left my question in Utah of course--which is fine.

Yes, leaving it in Utah is better than nothing, but more specifics are always good. At least a few cities per state is probably a good plan.

I like it and I think it is going to prove to be very helpful. The one category I was looking for and was disappointed not to see was the Caribbean--Puerto Rico especially.

EDIT: I found it! Found it under North America--- I shall go get some rest now

Could be me but I think if your going to break things out you would have Travel broken out by type, location, and howto. So you could put all those cruise travel, bus travel, yada yada under type, You put locations under location and you put things like gear, technology under howto.

Not a bad suggestion by any means, but we do have some limitations as to how many sub-categories we can use which would make this difficult.
