What do you think of Navigaya framing other websites when you leave their domain? Is this known as hijacking, why or why not?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I tend to hate these things but it kind of makes sense for this application, you are still navigating from within their system. It's not really hijacking unless you start wrapping ads or replacing ads. They are pretty clear about what they are doing -- extending the browser to provide a rich browsing experience.

This looks really slick but it's really slow, even in Safari. I dislike rolling UIs, makes me seasick. I use muscle memory too much -- that's why I like the dock on the Mac, sometimes I don't look at what I'm clicking.

Thanks for introducing me to this service!

Hey navigaya ... has your team been looking at Safari 4 or Chrome? How does the app behave in that environment. It's a little slow on Safari 3 (not terrible but I'm pretty picky :-)

I hadn't heard of it until this question. It seems to me that they're trying to replicate a complicated desktop/OS experience from within a browser window.

As this seems to be the case from my impression, I would generally say you are not "leaving" their site when you browse on their 'application platform'.. you are using their site as a 'desktop' and a 'browser' (as well as seemingly, other typical application tools) even though it is within another browser on another OS/Desktop.

So, in this case, this is not really framing, hijacking, or stealing.. it is.. a different experience than people are used to at the moment.
