I think it's a great signing IF he plays next year as well. The Canucks needed an additional playmaking center, preferably on the second line, and Sundin fits that in my opinion. If Luongo gets healthy, Vancouver should be in position to make the playoffs. If they can get a great Luongo at the right time, they might be able to get past San Jose and Detroit, which would be the two biggest obstacles come playoff time.

I wont make judgment till i see how he manages to play in a much harder conference the west is a much harder conference to compete in, Sundin has not played in the west and doesn't play teams like Anaheim, San Jose etc a lot in a year..
