What do you think of how the city of Cleveland is responding towards LeBron James?

I believe he came across egotistical when he announced he was joining the Miami Heat, but I have never seen anything like what is going on in Cleveland just because an athlete left the city. Murals are being dismantled, fans are burning James' jerseys and bars are offering free beers to customers who turn in LeBron gear. I think everyone is going too far with this.

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

The fans in Cleveland are devastated. He was their home-town hero, the one who brought their team to prominence. And then, the moment he had an opportunity to leave them, he did. He dropped them like a rock. Sure, it may have been a good business move, but he lost a lot of respect from a lot of people making the decision he did. I think what the fans are doing isn't too much. They don't like LeBron anymore. Get rid of the gear then. Maybe the bars offering free drinks, or the murals being dismantled is a bit much, but hey, I'd get rid of all my fan gear if I didn't like him anymore.

Yes, the people are too disappointed their hero left and not did the way they expected of him. Maybe there is a great reason behind, why King Jamed did this life's toughest decision ?
