What do you think of Cormac McCarthy's novels?
I've read The Road and loved it, but his other books all sound like westerns and I don't really like westerns, anybody have a review or want to recommend one of his other books?

I think his books beautifully written, but very stark in some ways. I think he's a really good writer, with good characterization, as well as imagery.
All the Pretty Horses is probably a good bet; I liked it and I NEVER read Westerns. It's just a good novel that happens to be set in the West.
