I feel alerted when I saw the news.
USB and cameras may contain trojans and malwares.
I wonder whether the same method is used in corporate world and other countries.
In corporate world, it is common to let vendors, partners to plug their USB to the laptop for presentation in a meeting room. Added with intranet, it may pose a risk. Maybe we should isolate that laptop after use and check for virus.
I wish there is a better virus/trojans/malwares detection system when a USB is plugged in.
On the case, I would wonder from which companies the businessmen receive the USB/camera.
It should be traceable if there are companies that distribute such USBs.
I think it is common sense we should not receive suspicious freebies, especially if it doesn’t have company name on it.
I wonder too whether USB, cameras, CDROM, software companies have put some softwares on the product to spy on its consumers. Governments are spying on our online activities, phone calls too.. Remind me of “1984”: big brother is watching you..

Interesting response. I was going for the China angle, because I have seen lots of hacking from them. Just ask the US Department of Energy or Google. There are ways to get around these USB issues with the right prep. There is no space here to tell you how to do it.
