I think that it is a great program.
Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID) is a very unique program any program that is geared towards the educational advancement of students should be commended. As stated it prepares the student to be a professional in his or her field of studying and also responsible individuals in the society. To help students who might not have the ambition or drive in their studies and to mold them into more dedicated and aspiring individuals in their studies is what a lot of schools need to do to increase the passing rates of exams. Of course if you can have a high level of students who are intellectually incline will be good not only for the society but for the economy also. This is a great program i would recommend this for all schools.
