What do you think is the future of voice chat on the net?

You can call your friends from Facebook, web widgets, VoIP apps like Skype, GTalk, Gizmo5, IdeaSIP, Talkshoe...
With the huge choice of ways to call people, which do you think have to biggest future? Or are you just going to use your mobile to call people. Please express yourself!
Tip for best answer: M$0.25
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

Personally, I just like picking up a phone and making an actual call. I think there are wonderful oppurtunities to make money and it is growing more popular but as a general rule I don't believe something like SKype will be used in a huge way between individuals like a telephone. More useful in business settings. People still like the idea of not having to put on a "face" when on the phone. All of them will give the phone companies a run for their money but I don't think they will be a replacement.

I even hate cell phones....don't even own one! But I am one of a dwindling demographic. And I don't belong to any social networks, I did but found it to be more of a bother than anything else.

Even a regular phone or mobile phone can be still connected to VoIP services. Just RingCentral service, it will transform your mobile phone into a VoIP phone. Personally. I still want to use cellphones.
