What do you think is the biggest problem with Mahalo Answers?
I love Mahalo. I think that something can always be improved though and I'm just wondering what you think it's biggest problem is, whether its the layout of the site, community problems or lifespan, anything!
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

For me, it's all to do with the "Undecided" queue.
I can't understand why it only goes two pages deep at any given time, when there are dozens and dozens of questions in the system that need to be voted on. And what's worse is, if no-one does happen to vote on it within the short voting period, the question dies a death and the answerer loses the tip, even if they have supplied a really good answer. A very decent answer also gets lost to everyone who might have learned from / benefitted from it.
Many of us should perhaps vote more often than we actually do, but I think a question should remain alive until at least one (or possibly two or three, just to weed out any "irrational" voting) users have cast votes on it.

Yeah, a system-generated kick in the teeth isn't all that much better than one from a fellow Mahalo citizen.
Also, these NBA's never appear within the "No Best Answers" section of our "spy" window . . . only those selected by the actual asker seem to appear there.
Exactly what I think is the biggest problem as well!
I don't mind losing BA to another person's better entry or via votes by other Mahalo citizens, but I mind VERY MUCH getting routinely insulted by a system-generated NBA simply because I answered a question nobody got around to voting on in the queue. I understand that sometimes questions get overlooked, but I don't think defaulting to an alleged "asker" NBA is a positive way to deal with them. I think they should either 1) stay in the queue until a few people vote, or 2) get marked as having no disposition, and be factored out of the answerer's stats so at least they don't drive down the BA percentage.
This has happened to me quite a few times, and it's made me a lot less inclined to participate in Mahalo Answers. But I still love Mahalo ... am currently enjoying some projects in the Tasks/Page Management area, and looking forward to returning to MA participation when the new voting system comes. (Not sure what the new voting system will involve, but Jason has mentioned that a new one is coming and hopefully it will bring changes for the better :-).
