What do you think are the Search Engines to watch in 2010?
Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.
You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

What data and which platform is being used seems to be the most important question on which search engine to watch. Searches from phones are looking for geographic/location information. Searches on Facebook and Twitter are becoming increasingly important but this is searching data streams for breaking news. So I expect to see a fragmentation in search engine markets with specialization being more important. From your list (after trying them out), Monittor would seem to be the one to watch for Twitter. Spezify for social media and videos/photos because of the graphical interface.
There still needs to be a search engine that pulls together the various data sources. Right now I create a Mahalo page such as customer relationship management because I can see the latest (Google) news, Twitter traffic, and blog postings all in one place.
