What do you think about Twitter's new Promoted Tweets program?
Basically, more ads on Twitter:

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

To be honest, I think it's about time. I have a chip on my shoulder against tech companies who don't have any interest in making money ASAP. Twitter seemed to care very little about making money in the beginning. Where's the greed? Every single business in the whole wide world needs at least a little greed. In fact, greed and the desire for personal gain is precisely what can stop you from taking crazy risks since you're scared about going bust. When you don't have greed, you're much more willing to raise millions of dollars in investment capital and then burn it with nothing left over for yourself or your investors. Greedy people care about not taking their businesses down to zero.
I know Twitter is now a major brand. I know they have a good shot at success. However, people thought that about Webvan. I truly do believe Twitter will probably be a successful company and that they won't go broke. However, they're not doing enough to minimize that chance. That chance should be getting closer and closer to zero and right now it's way too far above zero. Hopefully this ad program is just the start.
