I haven't listened to it myself. However, the reviews seem to be great. On Amazon's review page, it is getting 4.5 out of 5 stars. And on MusiChristian.com it got 5 out of 5. Pretty darn good.
You can read some of the reviews on the pages I linked at the bottom. But here's some of it:
(From an Amazon review):
"This is the last album with Peter at the helm (at least vocally) and I must say it is one of their best. I've been a Newsboys fan since Not Ashamed way back in '92, and I just never wanted to bring myself to the fact that one day it would have to end. No, the Newsboys aren't over, but now that Michael Tait is taking over as lead singer, it feels like its over. To me Peter IS the Newsboys. Anyway as for this record its all Peter and its wonderful. The continued collaboration with Steve Taylor shines through again with great lyrics and the production value has never been better. In all a great album that does not disappoint."
(From a MusiChristian review):
"Just got the new cd in the mail today. I have been a Newsboys fan for some time, and In the Hands of God is an amazing album. I love the edgier sound. Very well done. Miss you Peter! God bless."
