The First Peoples Covenant of Canada is one of the boldest step in establishing a harmonious relationship between the Aborigines of Canada and the modern settlers. With the main theme as forgiveness, the national effort aims to unite all walks of life in Canada such as the "Inuit and Métis communities, along with believers from across Canada."
Eventually, this covenant will usher unity among the citizens of Canada and make the country move towards rapid progress and development with the past finally settled.
"I believe that by releasing forgiveness they will catapult their own people to a new level of healing, freedom and destiny while at the same time releasing Canada to a whole new sphere of its own spiritual destiny."

Thank you so much for your thoughtful answer! I thought this was a very important issue and wanted to draw attention to it for others. In the interview, they were saying that native peoples from round the globe have been asking this group for copies of the agreement and further information. It looks like it could even be key to uniting people around the globe - with their native peoples to make unified countries! Should be interesting to watch how it develops over time. Thanks again for your answer! Will see if others respond to it as well.
