What do you think about the new and exciting BMW hydrogen 7 prototype?

http://green.autoblog.com/2006/09/12/bmw-officially-announces-the-bmw-hydrogen-7/

Quote
The engine in the Hydrogen 7, a derivative of the 7 series 12 cylinder engine, is capable of running on gasoline or hydrogen, and produces 260 hp. The car will accelerate from 0 to 62.1 mpg in 9.5 seconds. The ability to run on both gasoline and hydrogen gives the Hydrogen 7 a range of more than 400 miles.

The fact that a luxury car company has designed and produced a hydrogen car shows the commitment that the car world is now making to finding alternative fuel sources, which is great for everybody. It is great for the consumer because we are now closer to a day where we will not be at the mercy of oil companies. We are developing technology at a faster rate than we have in the past and this is a high performance vehicle, not just a hydrogen car, which makes it that much greater. We are getting to the point where we can balance performance, consumption, and pollution.

The hydrogen car may be a ways away however, we must develop more hydrogen gas stations and also wait until hydrogen fuel is cheap and affordable.

100 cars will be released for testing. The biggest problem is creating a network of hydrogen refueling stations.
