What do you think about the lyrics of these 2 songs? Is Lady Gaga sending a Satanist message?

Ok, a friend of mine sent me 2 hours ago these 2 videos. The first one is Lady Gaga's – Alejandro. The second one is Rihanna’s Umbrella. As you can see in these videos some people say that the singers are sending a Satanist message. Is it true? Please discuss and let me know your thoughts. In addition to that some people say that there are many other songs sending secret messages if listened backwards. What do you think?

Separate topics with commas, or by pressing return. Use the delete or backspace key to edit or remove existing topics.

You can leave an optional "tip" with Mahalo's virtual currency, Mahalo Dollars. If you are asking a difficult question that might require some research, or if you'd like a wide variety of feedback, a higher tip often leads to more answers to your question.

I don't think those words are accurate at all. I also will change my mind as soon as Lady Gaga and Rihanna confirm the messages.

But let me say it is SO good to know these people are still around. I remember in the 70s someone announced that a backward masked song said something like "start to smoke marijuana". The funny thing was that whatever it said FORWARD was much worse. Unfortunately I don't remember a large portion of the 70s. But I do remember my friends ruining a lot of records and needles trying to play things backwards. In fact, I always suspected that it was the record and needle sales people who were trying to get us to play stuff backwards. One good thing that came from all this, you know how DJ's are always making those back and forth scratching noises? It came right out of trying to play albums backwards (this is a lie I made up).

There have been at least a dozen bands who have admitted to this "secret" method, which is often used to poke fun at the controversy itself. It's not a big deal, there are probably no secret Satanist groups trying to take over the world. If there are, what could we do about it anyway? It's not the hidden groups we need to worry about, it's the ones who openly advocate the worst of human behavior.

I'm going with "no" , there's no Satanist message. IF you're a Christian person you're covered anyway so don't worry about. These are just two entertaining performers, if you don't like their music you don't have to listen to it.

I think this is people with too much time on their hands who also have no hobbies.

anything played backwards sounds creepy, even a kitten. For the Gaga song I don't hear any of the words that they are claiming to be there. If you look away from what words they are claiming are in the song and just listen, you hear nothing. Actually you hear the word "Alejandro" backwards, that's about it to me.

If people want something to be true, sometimes their mind goes a little off the deep end. The Rihana claim is even more outlandish, she says "ella" twice and he claims it is "allah ella" the word "Allah" which we are all familiar with, is not in this song. If the translated word for god is not in the song, the entire video and claim is pointless.

I mean what is this guy thinking? In my opinion this youtuber spends to much time reading books about conspiracy theories and smoking pot, so I am not even gonna discuss the Rihana one further. However backwards messages are a little more interesting to me.

To create a message while played backwards, you will have to do some serious compromising to the song played forwards. I doubt it is even possible to make a hit song that has a clear message played backwards. It will always sound like someone talking backwards, which is obvious when you hear it.

These tricks have been around too long and to this day I have never heard a clear message in a song played backwards, unless the song played forwards has a backwards sound clip, I.E. Slayer's "hell awaits"

The biggest flaw I see in backwards messages is that no one listens to a song backwards. How are you gonna get a message out of something if you never hear it? Say what you want about subconscious and subliminal messaging, if it is real it is far to subtle to do any real promotion. No one has any desire to worship Satan after hearing pop songs, and if you do, its not the song its your mind.
