What do you think about the American Apparel and Woody Allen lawsuit settlement? Too steep? Any thoughts?

Five million bucks is a lot of moolah. On the other hand, its not that much to a huge corporation.
I'm not sure if American Apparel got that much benefit, or Woody Allen suffered much harm. On the other hand, if you could use celebrity images in your advertising without their consent, with only a minor penalty, it would change the world of the media, and unless someone argues that change is for the better, the penalty has to be one that will deter imitators.
